Retrograde

Beer Type: Brett Dipa

ABV: 8.0%

IBU: 35

A sip of Retrograde is like a sensory trip back in time. In the 1800’s heavily hopped pale ales were shipped in barrels to India from England, many of which would have had a wild yeast character developed from the brettanomyces (brett) living in the barrel walls. Our Retrograde Brett DIPA takes the base beer of Hazerbeam, aged and refermented in barrels with brett for 4 months. Aromas of orange peel, melon and brett influenced funk, flavours of citrus, wine, tropical fruit and vanilla, and a dry yet full bodied finish. What was old is new again, take a trip backwards in time with retrograde.

Ingredients

Malt: 2-Row, Oats, Wheat, carafoam

Hops: Mosaic, Citra, Nelson Sauvin, El Dorado, Huell Melon

Yeast: Foggy London Ale, Brettanomyces
